Schoolbooks for Sudan

The Nuba (New-bah) mountains in central Sudan are considered part of the African south. The mountains are populated primarily by African peoples referred to as Nuba. In the region there are 86 volunteer-operated schools serving 9,000 school children—and an overall community totaling about 25,000. Teachers in the schools have few books; their students have none. The literacy project will provide reading textbooks, copybooks and easy-to-read Christian literature. Each donation of $1.50 will purchase schoolbooks for one child.
