Nika never lost hope that she would feel better once the medicine came. For little over two years, she has been at a special correctional school in Novosivirsk for children with dysfunctions of the central nervous system. She receives good care from the staff, but she has often had to go without things she needs—such as medicine and school materials—because of the school’s limited resources and because stores and pharmacies frequently have nothing to sell.

Nika is one of many children with special needs. The country’s economic crises limit medical and educational resources. This takes its toll on children. Medicines and educational materials are being purchased and distributed y a missionary living Novosivirsk.
